Back Up Your Data (photos, videos, music, contacts)

To ensure go to settings>Accounts>Google. See if your contact and media are synced recently. If not, transfer the data with a USB cable to your computer.
Remove SIM and SD cards

It is most likely that all the contacts saved in your sim card are synced with your Google account. To make sure go to settings>Accounts>Google and check it if its synced. If not sync it or copy the contacts on your sim before removing it and using it on the new device.
Perform Factory Data Reset

By performing the factory data reset you can delete all the contents of the phone completely. And all this data cannot be recovered. Hence, be careful! Perform this task maybe an hour or two before the buyer meets you and after you have taken a back up of all the prized possession.
Go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset and tap on it. This will take a few minutes to complete.
After its done your phone is free from all contents.
Oh you forgot to remove your SD card! Relax, even if you forget to remove the SD card before resetting the phone, the data will be intact. But try removing everything before you perform the task.
Collect the accessories
Yes you have to do away with the accessories as well if you want to get a better price for your phone. It would be best to collect them well in advance - the phone box, warranty card, the receipt, earphones, charger etc.so that you can avoid the last minute rush. Include the mobile case too (of course if it’s in a good condition), because possibility is you’re not buying the same model again and it will make your buyer happy too.
Make the phone look presentable
Giving a clean phone to your buyer reflects decency. Open the back cover and blow off the dust accumulations, especially in the battery and speaker area. Wipe the screen well with a microfiber cloth and charge it fully. Your gesture will surely please your buyer.
